Is an assault an internal dispute or something bigger?

An ounce of discretion is worth a pound of wit.

The statement by Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim about the assault by the Personal Assistant of Seri Setia assemblyman Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad from PKR towards Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne is so petty.

Khalid had brushed it off lightly saying that it is an internal dispute and said that both men had apologised.

An internal dispute that had led to fist fights does not seem petty or light as suggested by Khalid.

Khalid is just beating around the bush by saying that it is an internal dispute because if people from the same party, even though they are from different races are tolerant and take the time to discuss things and their differences of opinion, it will not end up with one party punching the other party.

Since Loh Gwo Burne had also lodged a police report about the assault, this will not be that petty or a small matter because this is considered an assault.

A police report is not something that can be taken lightly as what Khalid had tried to put it down.

What Khalid said in his statement to the press is as contrary as day and night to the reality of what had happened.
